ERROR: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

description

Any ideas what this means? I updated to the newest version of the software, added two names and the map appeared (yeah)... I then created a workflow to add names into the VE web part from another list (the main list has a lot of names, addresses, and other info I don't want displayed on the anonymous site). Now I get this error. Even with removing the work flows and adding in information manually I still get this errror, or just a black screen with no error at all...

I've deleted the VE list and then recreated it to see if I had corrupted it somehow but no luck! I'll check the security, again, later today but I don't think that's it...

Any ideas???

OK - I have figured something out related to this issue. The webpart works fine if I only have one item in the list. Anytime I add an additional item I receive that error message. I'm running WSS 3.0 on Windows Server 2003. One item is nice (;-o) but I have about 500 total I'd like to add in.

I'll also chime in and say, some of the addresses I have are international - nice to have addition (though just getting the majority of US addresses working would really be nice ;)

I get the same error when adding more then 1 address to the list. Has anyone been able to figure out a fix for this yet.

The error pretty much means something is missing in the list and not getting passed in the code, so ...... here is what I did to solve the problem

I left out the zip code the 1st time I added a second address b/c it is not required. I went back to my list and added the Zip Code and everything works. So , even through the Zip is not required, You need to add it.
